What a weird decision. He applied to come back at the beginning of the season last year, was suspended after the season this year. Was already suspended indefinitely in 2014. How does he only get credit for 41 games?
Why bother with the nonsense of saying he agreed that he should be suspended for a year? |

They probably will get next to nothing for him. I think they had already written him off completely, so if they can pull a mid-to-low draft pick from a team that needs a cheap RHD (I'm looking at you Toronto), they'll take it and run. |

If Voynov can still play then the team which signs him will roll out the welcome mat. They'll pump the PR saying he's a changed man, learned from his mistakes and everyone deserves a second chance, blah blah blah. |

It will be interesting to see the spin the team (Leafs) put on signing him. Yeah I can see the Leafs getting him from the Kings but how hard will it be to convince players like Tavares, Marleau and the wives, mothers and girlfriends of the players that he's a good guy. Chemistry in the room is important and he could be a big problem that isn't worth the grief may bring in trading for him. |
